Traditional child care doesn’t fit for every family.
At Uniting In Home Child Care we help Queensland children learn, grow and flourish – from outback stations to city blocks.
If you have children and you:
- are geographically Isolated
- work non-standard work hours
- are experiencing exceptional circumstances
…then you may be eligible for In Home Child Care.
Our educators provide education and care in the family home. They work closely with the parents of the children they look after to tailor programs to individual interests, talents and needs.

- Are responsive to children’s strengths, interests and social needs
- Provide safety, support and a sense of belonging
- Offer challenges to explore, solve problems, and enjoy
- Work in partnerships with families and our coordinators
- Commit to ongoing professional learning, development and well-being
- Ensure record keeping is maintained in accordance with Family Assistance Law, In Home Care National Guidelines and National Handbook

Service Philosophy
Our service is dedicated to fostering collaborative relationships and a supportive, inclusive environment for children, families, and educators, respecting each family’s unique needs and circumstances. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and inspired by the Uniting Church values, we prioritise community, continuity of care, and holistic development, empowering every child to reach their full potential.
